Dongargarh is a city and a municipality in Rajnandgaon district in the state of Chhattisgarh, India. Bamleshwari Temple on high hills is very picturesque . Dongargarh is one of the prominent pilgrim places in Rajnandgaon District of Chhattisgarh. It is about 35 km from Rajnandgaon and 67 km from Durg. Blessed with majestic mountains and ponds, Dongargarh has been derived from two words: 'Dongarh' meaning 'mountains' and 'garh' meaning 'fort'.
Popular of the landmarks is Maa Bamleshwari Devi Temple on a hilltop which is 1,600 ft high. It is of great spiritual importance and a legend is associated with this shrine. Another prominent shrine in the vicinity is Chhoti Bamleshwari Temple. The devotees flock these temples during Navratri. Shivji Temple and the temples dedicated to Lord Hanuman are also located here. The ropeway is an added attraction and is the only passenger ropeway in Chhattisgarh.
Adding to the religious value of Dongargarh, a famous Jain temple is also being constructed on a hill known as Chandragiri with the blessings of famous Jain saint Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Ji Maharaaj. The temple is specially recognized for an ancient statue of Teerthankara God Chandraprabhuji.One of the biggest gurudwara of state is also located in heart of city.
The nearest airport is at Raipur, 110 km away and the nearest railhead is Dongargarh Railway Station. Dongargarh has good road communication and buses and taxis are available from Rajnandgaon to reach here.

Ambikapur is a city in the Surguja district of the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. It is the district headquarters of Surguja district, one of the oldest districts of Chhattisgarh. Recently, two more districts namely Surajpur and Balrampur have been carved out of Surguja district, on 15 August 2011 by the state Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh along with eight other new districts. It is also the divisional headquarters of Sarguja Division which consists of 5 districts namely- Sarguja, Korea, Balrampur, Surajpur and Jashpur.[3] It was the capital of Princely state of Surguja before Indian Independence. The name of the city is derived from the goddess Ambika (Mahamaya) Devi, which is the central place of worship of the area.

Ambikapur is connected with Anuppur railway junction, a bordering town in Madhya Pradesh, by broad gauge railway track. Trains originating at Ambikapur run to Anuppur, Katni, Satna, Jabalpur, Durg, Bhopal and the state capital Raipur. More trains (such as a train to New Delhi) can be reached at Anuppur railway junction.Jabalpur - Ambikapur Express, Ambikapur – Shahdol, Ambikapur – Surajpur – Anuppur – Bilaspur - Raipur - Durg Express and Bhopal – Chirmiri Passenger run from major cities Bhopal, Gwalior, Katni, Raipur and Jabalpur. Shahdol-Ambikapur passenger leaves Anuppur station at 14:00 hrs and reaches Ambikapur at 19:00 hrs. One can enjoy the scenic beauty along the way especially in winters and monsoon. Ambikapur - Durg Express or Ambikapur-Anuppur-Uslapur-Raipur-Bhilai-Durg Passenger-cum-Express is another train that departs Ambikapur station at 21:15 hrs and reaches Durg at 9:20 hrs.

Daily bus services also run for Varanasi, Renukoot in U.P (170 km), Raipur (345 km) and Gadhwa road in Jharkhand (160 km). HISTORICAL TEMPLE IN CHHATTISGARH DIST. SURAJPUR KUDARGARH
Kudargarh is a famous Hindu pilgrim centre situated in Surajpur District of the state of Chhattisgarh in India. It is 40 km from district headquarters of Surajpur connected by an all weather road. The best time to visit is during Chaitra Navaratra (in the month of April).
The Maa Bagheshwari Devi Temple dedicated to Goddess Kudargarhi is perched on top of a hill and is the major attraction in Kudargarh.
The history of the temple is obscure. According to Dalton, the temple was built by Baland Kings. Balands were the original rulers of Korea state in 17th century.
Also Devotees throng this temple to appease the goddess for the fulfillment of their desires. On fulfillment of their wish, the Goddess is offered with the blood of a goat which is poured into a small hole (kund) of 6 inch in diameter. It is said that the kund would not get filled up even if thousands of goat's blood is poured into it, in which blood goat in honour of devi is given, a fact is that it never overflows.
